Excellent. Grateful for an explanation of the horrible action scenes in Cygnus Alpha. They were widely ridiculed in school at the time and did nothing to enhance the series reputation! It’s a pity because as you rightly point out they went to some lengths to sell the new planet to the audience.
I remember being puzzled and a bit disappointed by the riches stored aboard the Liberator. The ship already gave Blake an advantage - making him fabulously wealthy on top of it seemed a bit much. I like to think that Vila gambled it all away anyway.
All that stuff at the door is agony. I remember when I was a script ed if I got a stage direction that said something like ‘there is a scene of general confusion’ my mind flicked back to Cygnus Alpha. I would rather spell things out shot-for-shot than risk something looking like that.
Whilst examining the Liberator's armoury, Avon quickly deduces that only one handgun can be held without a second one becoming very hot. Blake then casually passes his gun to Jenna, who is already holding one, for her to place both back in the rack. Oh dear.
Q: Is Vere Lorrimer the B7 crew member with the most B7 name?
If you say "Paul Darrow" out loud repeatedly enough it starts sounding weird and alien. 'Pol Darro'
GLITZY GLADRAGS!!!!!!
Dane Bowers 💀

A weird mishmash isnt it. That said i love the bit where Blake simply leaps over the two crossed pikes!!

And then there’s the awful editing in the scene in the teleport section at the end of the episode. Yikes!
I will have quite a lot to say on that.
